The University’s scientific library was built in the fall of 1972. The library is well recognized as one of the best libraries that exist in the region of Mari El. The current head of the Library is Vladimir V. Izykin. The library has a huge staff comprising of 114 people. It has 12 segregated departments, 7 reading halls for both students and professors along with 7 subscriptions. The library owns over 1 million inventories from various departments.
